We introduce Voyager, the first LLM-powered embodied lifelong learning agent in Minecraft that continuously explores the world, acquires diverse skills, and makes novel discoveries without human intervention. Voyager consists of three key components: 1) an automatic curriculum that maximizes exploration, 2) an ever-growing skill library of executable code for storing and retrieving complex behaviors, and 3) a new iterative prompting mechanism that incorporates environment feedback, execution errors, and self-verification for program improvement. Voyager interacts with GPT-4 via blackbox queries, which bypasses the need for model parameter fine-tuning. The skills developed by Voyager are temporally extended, interpretable, and compositional, which compounds the agent's abilities rapidly and alleviates catastrophic forgetting. Empirically, Voyager shows strong in-context lifelong learning capability and exhibits exceptional proficiency in playing Minecraft. It obtains 3.3x more unique items, travels 2.3x longer distances, and unlocks key tech tree milestones up to 15.3x faster than prior SOTA. Voyager is able to utilize the learned skill library in a new Minecraft world to solve novel tasks from scratch, while other techniques struggle to generalize.
A tool for the next DJ. The percussion strips away to just the kick and the bassline. The record fades with the final cry: "Andalucía... tierra de sueños."

With a #1 spot on the Beatport Afro House chart, hundreds of millions of cumulative streams, over 800,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, and the accolade of "Afro-House Song of the Year" from the EDMA’s, "Andalucia" has proven itself to be an unequivocal hit. It has not only launched GROSSOMODDO into the upper echelons of the electronic music world but has also reinforced HUGEL’s reputation as a hit-making visionary. As the duo continues their world tour, with stops in London, Miami, and beyond, "Andalucia" remains the undeniable, euphoric centerpiece of their explosive rise. It is a masterclass in modern house music—a genre-blending, sun-drenched anthem for a global generation of dancers.
The night the festival began, the whitewashed village of Grossomoddo seemed to hold its breath. Narrow streets that had known centuries of sun and wind now thrummed with a new kind of pulse: basslines like distant surf, synths spilling color against cornflower sky. Lanterns swung from balconies. Habits of ordinary life — patios, laundry lines, late dinners — folded themselves around something electric that had arrived from far away: a DJ called Hugel and his mysterious "Andalucía Extended Mix." A tool for the next DJ
The electronic drums fade out, leaving room for a sweep of acoustic strings and atmosphere. The emotional weight of the Andalusian chords takes center stage, creating a euphoric, hands-in-the-air moment for the crowd.
9/10 Must-buy for: Deep house, Tech house, Spanish guitar enthusiasts. Listen on: Beatport, Spotify (Extended Mix exclusive to Beatport for the first month). tierra de sueños
The title “Andalucia” is not just a name; it is a declaration of intent. The track aims to capture the vibrant essence and festive soul of Andalusia itself—the region in Southern Spain known for flamenco, siesta culture, and fiery passion. Radio Zena described the track as a “sensory experience” that transports the listener directly into the beating heart of Spain, carried by an overwhelming energy and contagious rhythm. It is a prime example of what happens when ancient rhythms meet modern club culture.
To understand why “Andalucia” resonates so deeply, we first need to look at the people behind the decks.

In this work, we introduce Voyager, the first LLM-powered embodied lifelong learning agent, which leverages GPT-4 to explore the world continuously, develop increasingly sophisticated skills, and make new discoveries consistently without human intervention. Voyager exhibits superior performance in discovering novel items, unlocking the Minecraft tech tree, traversing diverse terrains, and applying its learned skill library to unseen tasks in a newly instantiated world. Voyager serves as a starting point to develop powerful generalist agents without tuning the model parameters.
"They Plugged GPT-4 Into Minecraft—and Unearthed New Potential for AI. The bot plays the video game by tapping the text generator to pick up new skills, suggesting that the tech behind ChatGPT could automate many workplace tasks." - Will Knight, WIRED
"The Voyager project shows, however, that by pairing GPT-4’s abilities with agent software that stores sequences that work and remembers what does not, developers can achieve stunning results." - John Koetsier, Forbes
"Voyager, the GTP-4 bot that plays Minecraft autonomously and better than anyone else" - Ruetir
"This AI used GPT-4 to become an expert Minecraft player" - Devin Coldewey, TechCrunch
