The Auto Ripple feature is a powerful tool for streamlining complex edits. When enabled, it automatically adjusts the timeline to eliminate gaps, swap clips, and maintain the flow of your project. It is perfect for situations where precise timing is essential, such as when you are editing a dialogue-heavy vlog. To enable it, click on the (resembling a magnet) near the "Manage Tracks" icon in the upper left of the timeline. With it on, deleting a clip will automatically cause all subsequent clips to shift left, closing the gap. This saves you from the tedious manual labor of dragging clips back into place.
However, it was not without its flaws. The billing model required careful attention to avoid unwanted charges, and the occasional stability issues could be frustrating. Ultimately, Filmora 9 was a feature-rich, beginner-friendly video editor that offered tremendous value, as long as users were aware of its limitations and potential pitfalls. While later versions (Filmora 10, 11, 12, 13, etc.) have since been released, Filmora 9 remains a testament to the power of making professional video editing available to the masses.
