Most avatars automatically respond to basic emotional triggers. Type these directly into the chat: – Makes your avatar laugh out loud. brb – Displays a "Be Right Back" sign or animation. afk – Triggers an "Away From Keyboard" pose. hi or hello – Waves at other users. yes or no – Nods or shakes your avatar's head. IMVU commands are highly case-sensitive and spacing-sensitive. A single typo will cause the command to display as regular text, which can be embarrassing.
💡 Many custom animations purchased from the Shop use "triggers." To find these, look at the product description in the Shop. You might find that typing "dance1" or "hug" triggers a special pose you bought.
